Recessed lights are a far more basic part of interior design than the sculptural floor lamps or stylish pendant lights. They might not be the of a setting but they are an absolute must in order to fashion gorgeous and well-lit spaces.
As we discussed above most modern interiors are clad in colors that seem to range from the white and grey to brown and pale blue. Whether it is the minimalist style or the contemporary theme neutral backdrops have become pretty much mandatory.
This creation by Villa Tosca Design for Slamp is another example of light and airy presence over the dining table. The stylized shade in red green or white inspired by vegetation forms surrounds the light source like a nest of delicate paper cut filtering the light indirectly for ambient effects. It is a neat original and convenient designer lamp which adds refinement and extravagance in a light and purist to slightly retro layout.
The emphasis in contemporary design is so heavily placed on neutral tones and muted shades that we often forget to look at the bold contrasts. For gorgeous modern interiors to appear as appealing as they do one needs a touch of color and a dash of ‘drama’ here and there. Black is a pretty good choice in this regard. With white and grey being popular backdrops in current homes black makes for a perfect accent color.
